Diamonds
I think most of us know of the old saying, “Diamonds are a girls best friend”. Are they?
A diamond is very attractive to the eye and made of the hardest material that doesn’t achieve its luster, clarity, or brilliance overnight. A diamond is developed over time and under much pressure. Many woman drool at the sight of a diamond or the thought of owning them.
I got into a conversation yesterday with one of my clients about diamonds, or jewelry in general. I don’t like to wear a lot of jewelry.

The BrideGroom Awaits
The Bride walks down the aisle, toward her Beloved. A veil cascades across her face, concealing the look about her countenance. The BrideGroom waits for her patiently, but with anticipation as she draws closer and closer. He stands tall and proud, almost regal, as she draws yet closer still. It is as though he were king and the queen were drawing neigh. She reaches her destination, facing the Groom, who, at this time, reaches out toward the Bride and gently lifts the veil. There they stand, no more veils between

You've Got More!
There is a time and season for everyone under God’s sun, by the Authority of His Son.(Ecclesiastes 3)
Think about that statement…that is powerful. Every person on earth has a reason to be here. Without a reason there is little direction or determination to prevail upon the heart to pursue, anything. We all want to be happy, but happy is a state of mind and an attitude and has little to do with our circumstances. I’ve known in my life the richest of people and I have also known the poorest

Pullin' Weeds
“Life is a flower of which love is the honey.” ~Victor Hugo
I was out in my garden today. Each time I venture there it is like the whisper of the Lord’s Voice meets me, saying, “Here you are, our time together again….I’ve been waiting for you.” I don’t know what it is with me and my Lord amongst the petals in my quiet sanctuary, but that is exactly what it is, my sanctuary. My garden is a place of refuge for me, always has been that way. The busier life

Lessons Learned From Cinderella
“Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men.” Phil. 4:4-5
Lessons Learned from Cinderella…
I think most people have seen the Disney children’s animated feature, “Cinderella”. It is a timeless classic and I have always felt it is full of teachable moments for our children, but for us adults as well.
When my daughter was very young, 3 and 4 years of age, she was quite precocious and vibrant. She was always pleasant to be around and rarely threw a tantrum. I knew

Shine Your Light
“Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16
Many years ago I went through a span of time when, anytime, I needed to go shopping for an item of clothing I felt incredibly compelled to demonstrate loyalty to a particular little dress shop in town that specialized in petite sizes. In fact, for about two years time I went into this shop every two weeks to browse; sometimes even once a week. I did not always purchase, but

God's Behind The Wheel
Have I ever told you about the time that John, myself, and our children drove across country by faith? Literally. We had $150 in our checking account and no savings to dip into. Do not misunderstand me, we did not set out with the intensions to drive across America with next to nothing to fund such a trip. However, God was teaching us to release the steering wheel and allow Him to drive our destiny. We were learning to yield to even deeper levels to God, who deeply desired to

My Source
In 2004 I (with my husband) sold my house, gave away all the profit of the sale, gave away nearly all of my earthly possessions…and it CHANGED ME FOREVER. I will never be the same. I am not one who seeks riches, accolades or fame. I do not find personal pleasure from boasting about myself on any level. I would be embarrassed and ashamed to do so. But there is a time for everything under the sun, and the Lord has designated this my time to testify. What does that

Root Bound
I had to run to the store for a few things yesterday and while I was there, I couldn’t help myself but to go into the garden center. I have a beautiful, molded cement flower planter on my front porch and it has been crying for flowers all winter. I finally heeded the call of the flower and poked my nose in the pansies. I love pansy flowers, they are one of my favorite winter blooms. I think I love everything about them. I love the dainty leaves all clustered

Believe
There is an old saying that goes, “You cannot judge a book by it’s cover.” This old fashion saying holds great truth and profound wisdom. I sometimes wonder how many younger people have never heard this idiom before? There are all types of examples of this in the world around us, especially within people:
There are people who appear very thin, but are high in body fat and unhealthy.
There are people who are very heavy, but extremely fit and healthy.
There are those who are attractive on the outside, but ugly on
