Elevate
Yesterday I came across a photograph of my boys that was maybe from 7 years ago. Kids change so much so quickly, it’s beautiful and painful at the same time. Bitter sweet I guess you would call it. I just sat drinking in the picture. They were all huddled up close to one another, laughing, the baby on my 2nd oldest son’s shoulders—they were so happy. I am so grateful that their early and middle childhood years were happy years for them.
When my kids were really little we would sit on

A Word Called Loyal
A Word About Loyalty—
Dictionary dot com defines loyal as this–
characterized by or showing faithfulness to commitments, vows, allegiance, obligations, etc.: loyal conduct.
Loyalty is not something you arrive at, loyal is something you are. Loyalty doesn’t birth in a trial, the presence of loyalty manifests within the trial because it was already there, prepared and ready.
“Lord, the God of our fathers Abraham, Isaac and Israel, keep these desires and thoughts in the hearts of your people forever, and keep their hearts loyal to you.”
1 Chron. 29:18
Loyalty to Heaven is not confined to

My Snuggle Bug
Yesterday was my son, Andrew’s 8th Birthday. I love Andrew immensely. Andrew is significantly younger than his siblings. I endured all kinds of comments when I was pregnant and he was an infant. Yes, I know how these things happen. I was an older Mom when I had him.
Our entire family was going through the trial of our life. We were enduring the lawsuit from hell with a man who taught me a lot by default about fraud, malice, oppression and how to “work” the court system. If this weren’t

Poetic Prose of Praise: My Father’s Garden
My Father is a Gardener and oh how my Garden he does keep.
He nestles himself—
Heart and Soul with my petals.
He reaches through my stem until he gets to the root.
The roots are the very essence of who I am.
I love how I’ve been planted in his garden.
There is no other garden where I would like to be.
Here in his chambers I am free to be me.
He is the key that unlocks the goodness in me.
He is Master Gardener.
He knows exactly how much water I need.

Equipped & Fit
“The LORD is my strength and my song; He has become my salvation.”
Exodus 15:2
Whatever YOU are to do, YOU have been equipped with POWER! So many people miss out on their own destiny because they approach it with insecurity. Here are some things people say, “that’s easy for you because…”, “I could never do that because…”, “But they do this or that better than me or they are prettier than me or maybe smarter than me.” Nonsense! No matter your past, present, education, cultural influence, you have been predestined! So

Light & Life
“Peace, when ruling the heart and ruling the mind, opens in both every avenue of joy.” ~Sarah W. Stephens
As the body of Christ we are to have both unity and diversity, but all should be walking in intense levels of peace and joy. If you have yet to discover joy or its source, I hope this little diatribe will help you.
“Therefore with joy you will draw water from the well of salvation.” Isaiah 12:3
Joy is not the same as happiness. Joy flows from the soul despite conditions of

Holy Cross
The high road is this way…
In my young married life–a season of the growth of my soul– I remember struggling with something and God helping me to learn to handle it. I remember having a dream of me carrying a cross just like Jesus did. Only I saw something in this dream that looked like a large hand reach down from the sky and gently pinch the large cross on my back as though it were only a stick and began to gently lift so the weight in my back

Intentional
With God, “What’s done is done” might not really be done…
All through the Bible we see amazing stories of how someone blew it and then God showed up with a miracle and saw them through it. Who you are is not dependent on what you do! Who you are is a result of to whom you belong to! You’ve been created by a King to do amazing things! You do your part and God does His…
I think there is a lot to be said about God’s willingness to reward our

Jump!
Studies have been done using fleas. The fleas are placed in a jar and the lid is fastened. The fleas jump & jump & jump, but get no where. After a while they stop jumping. In fact, when the lid is removed, giving the fleas total freedom they still won’t jump out. I wonder what would happen if a new flea was introduced to the group? Would the other fleas laugh at him for daring to jump? Would they avoid him because he did things differently than them? I’m sure

Push Away…
The Push Away Diet Plan
“Turn to Me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning…For He is gracious and merciful. Slow to anger, and of great kindness.” Joel 2:12-13
There was a woman who receive a remarkable healing in her body. She was so exuberant with joy she wrote her Pastor to tell him the good news. She finished her letter by asking, “Do you think God would do anything about my being overweight?” The Pastor wrote her back and congratulated her on her miracle, and replied to
