Slumber of Soul
New Hope for a New Day. . .
Samuel was a sleeping boy. Yet, the Lord called to him by name. You were sleeping. You maybe weren’t lying down or having your eyes closed, but you were asleep, Slumber of Soul.
At the end of the day when the sun decides to go away and cradle itself on the horizon
The moon arises and this is of no surprise, yet it takes the breath away.
God is like both the sun & the moon—He isn’t going anywhere.
He is committed to you through thick &

Well…
Hello there.
What an excellent day.
I hear it was Heaven made.
But what exactly does that mean to you?
A Heaven made day means something different to everyone, but here’s a glimpse into my heart and what stirs me deeply. For me…this is what it means.
I love the free expression my heart yields in His Presence. It is frequently found in my pen, but when I speak it is found there as well. Time spent meditating on God, reading, writing, praying—these things bring out the best in me.
What

Someone Is Bragging On You. . .
Someone is bragging on you…
Affirming words are my primary love language. Encouraging and sharing with people the positive I see in them is just a natural extension of who I am. It is a wonderful thing, edifying to the soul, to know you’ve played a role on some level in making another person feel wonderful…feel special…to know how much they matter, are cared for and not overlooked.
Verbal Edification and Encouragement Equals Empowerment.
Last night is a night I loved.
It was an ordinary Monday night, but I

Gentle and Kind
A Story of Hope, Gentleness & Kindness
I remembered a story from when I went to get a pedicure/manicure a few years back. As I sat in my chair at the salon I watched this elderly couple come in together. I love to observe people. People are fascinating and peculiar and puzzling all at the same time and I truly adore humanity.
So this couple…
The wife was the one getting the manicure, but her husband escorted her in and took care of every detail. He spoke with the receptionist, he

I Once Knew A Man Called Charlie. . .
I once knew a man named Charlie…
Seasons in life bring opportunities. Each opportunity is a window where God can expand our hope as he expands the foundation of our life creating something sound, something stable that we can build upon. Because we can dream all day long and become little more than a dreamer if we allow ourselves to stop there. Therefore, every encounter, every relationship, whether for a moment, a year, a decade a lifetime—has the power to shape and mold who we are destined to be.
I’ve

Adored
You are adorable.
There is a God in Heaven and He actually adores you and is for you. He cheers for you, makes a way for you. Does all kinds of things that you may not even know He is doing for you. He is an eternal spirit. He wants to bless you and make your heart complete. For every tangible blessing of life is nice—but if our heart and soul have a hole we don’t feel whole or complete.
Take a seat. Be lavished. Allow my words

New
As I am entering a season of life with much shifting and change I witness some extraordinary things God is doing to equip and prepare me. I do not fully know what is coming, but I see him surrounding me with very strong women who know who they are in Christ. I don’t fully know what’s around the bend, but I have glimpses and daily seek direction from my Heavenly Compass and Light.
How do you access the heart of God and His Holy Chambers? How do you know His will

Meet Me In The Upper Room
Little can always become great in the Hands and Heart of God.
What is it your heart cries for?
What is it that your soul yearns for?
There is a wanderlust of soul the Holy One in Heaven has ignited and He is delighted to stir it and yield something more.
Whatever your day holds—
Be it grand and important with many hands dependent upon you, many minds, many mouths to. Or maybe it is you alone in your world you have to behold. God is in it. He is there with you now.

Be the Light…
Last weekend our power went out.
So what did my boys do?…Each went for the light on their phone or a flashlight. The youngest and I played cards on my bed.
The power was out for a good hour or more and they laughed and giggled and played with the shadows from the lights in our phones. I thanked the Lord for this short lived inconvenience. It gave them time together they probably really needed. But oh how we all celebrated when the lights came back on–we hadn’t eaten and

Bring Me An Apple
The apple of the eye is the absolute dead center of the pupil. Wherever the apple rests, it is completely focused and attentive. I have deep admiration for people who can look others dead in the eye when they speak, fully focused, not distracted, not gazing over your shoulder, not shifting their eyes…focused. It’s like a laser point of intention fixed on a mark. You know you have that persons full attention and they are both powerful and passionate about what they are trying to communicate.
You are the Apple of
