Game of Life
Everything happens in seasons.
I remember there was a season of my life that I had three children playing in Morada Little League simultaneously. The most sensational little league ever in my opinion, but not two of them on the same team. Two boys and my daughter played softball. The home field was just around the block from our home. But softball travelled much so my daughter’s games were all over the place. I remember I would begin to mentally prepare for the schedule and time demand of the

Giving Thanks🍁
🍁Thanksgiving Day🍁
As I was preparing in the kitchen yesterday I found my thoughts wander to this grand day of Harvest in history. I thought of the earliest of settlers-the inhabitants of the colony of Roanoke. These people came to America and tried to settle the very first community in 1587. But they disappeared mysteriously without a trace. History never trulwy discovered what became of them. Some say they went black to England some say they died. Let not their tremendous legacy die in vein. We the people have a duty to

What’s Your Type?
Just breathe. Just relax. Rest. Don’t you know proper rest is essential for proper recovery and immune health? All statements you may have heard before.
Our Parasympathetic Nervous System is our bodies way of regulating involuntary activities. It is a part of the Autonomic Nervous System and it tells our body what to do without our having to think about it. It just happens automatically. It says such things as “rest-and-digest” or “feed and breed”. This is because it is the system that tells us to relax and take it easy

“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy, they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” ~Marcel Proust
When I see a beautiful garden I often think of all the work they went into planting it and keeping it weed free. People are much the same as a garden. Healthy, secure and strong relationships require much tenderness, love and care. People must be nurtured just like a garden.
Your heart is a garden to house your soul…just like a green house full of moisture and

I Once Knew A Man Called Charlie. . .
I once knew a man named Charlie…
Seasons in life bring opportunities. Each opportunity is a window where God can expand our hope as he expands the foundation of our life creating something sound, something stable that we can build upon. Because we can dream all day long and become little more than a dreamer if we allow ourselves to stop there. Therefore, every encounter, every relationship, whether for a moment, a year, a decade a lifetime—has the power to shape and mold who we are destined to be.
I’ve

Hope Fortified
Fortified Hope Helps You Cope…
Pretty much every packaged food today is fortified with essential vitamins and minerals. Whole Foods are full of them naturally. The soul of the earth is rich in minerals that help crops grow and be rich in nutrition. The best fields are allowed to lay fallow every so many years-giving them a season of rest so they can produce their best.
In America this practice isn’t done anymore. Our foods aren’t so nutrient dense as they used to be. Fruit is picked too early and

Discovered Tenacity
Sometimes the best thing that can happen to you in life is to fail at something.
Have you ever attempted something only to fair at it rather than excel? For the champions purposed toward excellence mediocre is the same as a failure. Or is it?
Failure is what sets apart the champion from the talker or complainer. Failure has a way of chipping away at our mold and revealing clusters of pure gold. Often times the greater the failure the larger the bounce back. That’s if

The Underminer
Learn how to undermine the Underminer.
The Enemy of your soul is a Master of Distraction. He will use subtle little seemingly innocent circumstances to redirect your focus when you are plugged in to something Greater.
I see this a lot when people are on a fitness quest. The Enemy sees them become consistent and resolved. He see they want it and are getting after it…real commitment or even the desire to begin with it. He is subtle, he will use outside factors to derail your goals and

Bring Me An Apple
The apple of the eye is the absolute dead center of the pupil. Wherever the apple rests, it is completely focused and attentive. I have deep admiration for people who can look others dead in the eye when they speak, fully focused, not distracted, not gazing over your shoulder, not shifting their eyes…focused. It’s like a laser point of intention fixed on a mark. You know you have that persons full attention and they are both powerful and passionate about what they are trying to communicate.
You are the Apple of
