Preserved
Self preservation: by my definition is to shield or safe guard oneself from actual or perceived harm. Self preservation is innate. Or is it learned? Young children arrive as tender hearted, trusting, naive and innocent. Over time the cares of life opens the eyes and awakens the soul to the dangers we encounter on life’s open road. The more harm done to an individual the more coarse their heart and mind become. The more scars, the more distant and closed to people we become—we self preserve to ward off future potential

Get Fat!
No one wants to be fat, but what are fats and why does our body actually need it?
Fats are organic molecules. They are comprised of hydrogen joined together into long groupings called hydrocarbons. How these chains combine and interact determines the type of fat they are. A fatty acid is a simple unit of fat.
Types of fats include:
SATURATED (solid or semi solid at room temperature)
•Butter
•Animal fat
•Tropical oils like coconut oil
UNSATURATED (liquid at room temperature)
(Monounsaturated)
•olive oil

Interrupted Life
I’m a trainer. Trainers love fitness. Trainers love weights, and movement, and all things physical fitness. I love my gym. I am what they would call a bit of a gym rat. The gym has been home for nearly as long as I can remember. I have been attracted to physical fitness, healthy eating and muscle since my very early adolescence.
I have goals. I have routine, just like everyone else pursuing fitness. Just like everyone else, this whole COVID-19 thing interrupted those goals. It interrupted my routine— Interrupted life.
If there

Rest & Digest
Rest & Digest
When we have too much norepinephrine in our system we are in “fight or flight” mode. This neurotransmitter inhibits digestion. Our gut needs to be at rest to digest.
In this time of extended stress and uncertainty another way you can boost your immune system is to actively focus on relaxation before eating.
Currently, with this quarantine and the corona virus (COVID-19), we are all a little bit in a state of perpetual flight or fight.
Try not to stress eat
Instead, take some

Wash Love In
Wash your hands.
Wash your hands every day, multiple times a day. This is an effective way to keep germs and bacteria away which spread disease, lead to illness and sickness. It a simple practice, but I think we’ve all seen a person or two leave a public restroom without doing such. Kids are the worst culprits, they must continually be reminded to wash their hands. But when you wash, it is best and most effective when done with warm water. Warm or hot water kills the germs quickly

Expensive & Impressive
I love to decorate. Anything. I like decorating a home. I like textiles and clothes to drape on the body. I love personal training and bodybuilding as I see the human form as a great canvas built to perform amazing things. How marvelous it is to sculpt and shape and strengthen it. And I also love to wrap gifts and create a gorgeous bow on top. Presentation does matter. First impressions count enormously. It takes countless second impressions to erase a poor first impression. However, we cannot and should not

Dessert Hope
Dessert Rose
The dessert rose is a lovely plant. So stunning is its thick trunk, green leaf and star shaped flower most gardeners recommend showcasing this plant rather than tucking it in with the other garden foliage. The dessert rose originated near the Sahara Dessert. This flower loves the heat and is drought resistant.
The human heart is like a lily of the valley, the dessert rose, a garden of splendor. Just like a garden, the human heart needs special care and attention. Not every heart is exactly the same. Some need

Giving Thanks🍁
🍁Thanksgiving Day🍁
As I was preparing in the kitchen yesterday I found my thoughts wander to this grand day of Harvest in history. I thought of the earliest of settlers-the inhabitants of the colony of Roanoke. These people came to America and tried to settle the very first community in 1587. But they disappeared mysteriously without a trace. History never trulwy discovered what became of them. Some say they went black to England some say they died. Let not their tremendous legacy die in vein. We the people have a duty to

What’s Your Type?
Just breathe. Just relax. Rest. Don’t you know proper rest is essential for proper recovery and immune health? All statements you may have heard before.
Our Parasympathetic Nervous System is our bodies way of regulating involuntary activities. It is a part of the Autonomic Nervous System and it tells our body what to do without our having to think about it. It just happens automatically. It says such things as “rest-and-digest” or “feed and breed”. This is because it is the system that tells us to relax and take it easy
