“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.”
“All extreme sensitivities, fastidiousness, suspicion, readiness ot take offense, and tenacity of what we think our due, come from self-love, as does the unworhty secret gratification we sometimes feel when another is humbled or mortified; the cold indifference, the harshness of our criticism, the unfairness and hastiness of our judgements, our bitterness towards those we dislike, and many other faults must more or
A person who possesses empathy can feel what others feel. They can put themselves into the perspective of another and, to a degree, see things as the other person sees them. A person with empathy can see another’s perspective even when they do not agree with them. Empathy meets people where they are at and works from that point forward.
Empathy is foundational for healthy communication and relationships.
A person rich with empathy may sometimes forget that their own perspective is important to!
Your heart, your hopes, your feelings and thoughts
“But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” John 15:7
I tried to read the Bible many times in my young life, but my efforts didn’t last long. I either didn’t understand it, lacked discipline or maybe, if I’m being honest, the true desire. It wasn’t until I was in my early 20’s the desire was aroused within and I began to dig in and for the first time in my life, the Word
The Lord is renewing your strength! Hold on!
Though the night does tarry, don’t despair. The daylight is about to break through. I see you. You haven’t felt yourself. You haven’t felt “whole”, but can definitely feel the hole in your soul. It is being filled…even now…filled to overflow. You are adored by Heaven. The Kingdom of God does not come to you by force, but like a gentle breeze that whispers to your heart through the leaves of the tree. The Holy Spirit compels.Hush…
You will begin to experience a rush
I am God’s microphone.
I will use my voice to spread His Love to the world.
My daughter found an excellent deal on a MacBook Pro laptop. It was someone she knew professionally who was selling a barely used computer for next to nothing. Because she knew the person is probably the only reason she knew it was legit and not a scam. She knew it was too good a deal to pass by, so she called John and my entire family (boys included) chipped in to buy me the MacBook
Protected. Worthy. Loved.
These are the words that penetrate my mind first thing this morning. What a blessing because these are all words of special significance to me.
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.“ Psalm 5:11
Most people want to feel safe, but I think women especially have a need for this kind of security. I know I do. When we think of protection I think most
God’s Love. . .
There’s something so much more than a feeling, yet that is how it all begins. God taps into our emotions.
People have a mind… A heart…
A brain—And people have emotions. Our emotions are dynamic and eclectic and combine together to create a myriad of emotions on lots of levels of expression.
This thing with God…it starts off as something that sparks a feeling and then grabs hold of our attention. As we pay attention something gets highlighted in our heart. We become moved, inside to the out, by this
“When it rains, most birds head for shelter; the Eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above the cloud.” ~Unknown
Some of the biggest and best accomplishments this world has ever seen have been done under extreme duress and adversity.
Airplanes rise against the wind not with it.
It is the wind against a sail that makes the boat go.
Don’t turn back when others speak skepticism and lack. Don’t confuse wise and Godly instruction for criticism and do not mistake criticism for wise instruction. If it’s
“For everyone whom much is given, from him much will be required.”
This passage of scripture has been rolling around in my head for more than a week now.
Did you know that just like any good Father, God has expectations of us? It’s true. He expects from us because He loves us and knows not only what’s best for us, but the best that resides within us…each of us. Each of you. God sees you, the real you. The you that cuddles up and dreams of the future and weeps
God sends angels to help you.
When I write; either a blog, a post, or a text (or a book, I just finished it!)…I write the same way I hear the Father speak to me. He is bold. He is edifying. He is gentle. He is sweet.
Yesterday morning during my devotion time I clearly heard the Spirit of God whisper to me, “I am radically devoted to you, Nicole.”
God deeply favors. Here’s a story to exemplify like an analogy the similarity between favor of man and favor of God. When I
