I woke up this morning feeling heavy hearted the same as I did when I fell to sleep last night. God, where are you? Maybe that’s something you’re asking yourself right now. I know I am. But here, down beneath my hurt and heart ache, I know something on a deeper level and I have personal experience with its truth—
God is there, right beside you.

He’s always been there.
He is faithful.
He is protector.
He is confidant.
He is friend.
He loves the color of your skin, whatever shade it is.
He loves you

I have written out a prayer for America. She needs ourprayer so much right now. If you haven’t been praying or don’t pray…it may be a good time to begin. If you are not comfortable or don’t know the words to pray, I wanted to help by writing a mini blueprint you can follow along and pray with. Remember, there are no perfect words or prayers, all prayer is effective and can change circumstances. Your prayers just need to be sincere and prayed!

Prayer has Power

Try this little prayer with me. It won’t hurt a thing and you might be surprised at the peace it brings to your heart, mind and soul.

“All around I am bound. It may seem as though I have no power, but I choose to look up and I look for you, God. For you are the higher power who can lift me right out of my shackles and my doubt. With you, God, I become free. Help me see—free me. Amen.”

There is no one better for this than you.
That’s why God gave the opportunity to you.
Even in a struggle, you’ve been equipped with the strength to shoulder it.
You will know what to do.
You will feel your discernment speak. You will not sink. You will swim. You will rise and your life will thrive…and so will you.

Speaking to some strong, but weary hearts….

Just begin again, every day, doing better and better. You are a fighter. The prize of your life is worth the fight. Hold on,

Hello there.

What an excellent day.
I hear it was Heaven made.

But what exactly does that mean to you?

A Heaven made day means something different to everyone, but here’s a glimpse into my heart and what stirs me deeply. For me…this is what it means.

I love the free expression my heart yields in His Presence. It is frequently found in my pen, but when I speak it is found there as well.  Time spent meditating on God, reading, writing, praying—these things bring out the best in me.

What

There is the world we see and then there is the spirit world we don’t. We are spirits with bodies. Who we truly are resides in the soul. And everything about us exudes from there. Who we are on the inside is what makes us beautiful. What we are on the outside is what can be seen immediately. It’s important to care for our bodies and present well because first impressions matter whether we want them to or not. But getting to know a person is when we find out

I am positive.
I am not negative.
When a deleterious, hopeless thought crosses my mind I reject it.
I am not weak or tired.
I am energized.

Because the Word says that when I am weak I am strong.
I have a zeal and fervor that is unstoppable.
I am decided.
The goal and vision are strong in my mind, but even stronger in my heart.
I can push through my pain threshold and achieve all that God has placed inside of me to do.
God believes in me, so I believe in me, too.
