Be Intentional
The New Year will be here before you know it with many making a New Year's Resolution to get fit. Intentions are good and motivation high, for a while. Before you know it, usually by the end of week two, the cares of life distract your desire and you've given up on that goal. But if you stick it through, doing a little bit of good every day then you will gain momentum to carry you through. You will begin to see results and the good fruit of your efforts will inspire you to press on even further than before. Before you know it, what used to require intense discipline to begin, becomes the status quo for you, your new norm.
So it is with spiritual fitness. You've got to be inspired to get into the inspired Word of God, the Bible, every single day. Make it a goal to read a little, even if it's only one verse. It will make a difference in your mindset, it will put a spring in your step and you will feel the fruit in your overall countenance. You will begin to see break through in areas that have been a struggle for you. Your efforts will stand out!
"When you want to be a Champion, your team needs chemistry."
Making changes for the better in your overall health and well-being may require some hard pivoting. I love that word choice. It creates an intense visual. I believe this is why so many people shy away from those first action steps towards better nutrition, better lifestyle, even healthier relationships.
It’s ok to acknowledge your limits. When you try to be master of everything you become expert at nothing. Know your scope. Explore your limits and then blow through them!
Mindset is your headset and your attitude is the channel you are dialed into. Pick a winning attitude, a heart of Courage, and surround yourself with like minded people who will hold you up to never give up! Tap into the True Champion you are. Because honestly, you’re pretty amazing.
"For while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come." 1 Tim. 4:8
