Something from Nothing
“By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.” Hebrews 11:7
Only God The Absolute and Majestic Creator of all the heavens and the earth beneath. Yes, only He can create something out of nothing. Not only did He fill the span of His hand and call it the heavens and the sky...He flooded the earth with liquid and called it water. Noah was the first to be given this revelation and he patiently endured with obedience until the time came for him to retreat into safe havens. The flood came. It had never before rained. Never before had a boat been required.
God created something from nothing.
“Then Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to execute the wise men of Babylon, and said to him, “Do not execute the wise men of Babylon. Take me to the king, and I will interpret his dream for him.” Daniel 2:24
Daniel was a prophet of old. He was placed in the custody of the Persian empire to become a “wise man” in a pagan empire. The king had a dream that not a soul could interpret because the king’s expectation was for the wise men to tell him the dream in addition to its meaning. The wise men had nothing to work with, no foundation, no clues...the king ordered them all to die. A little extreme by no stretch of the imagination. But Daniel had faith and he petitioned the king, asking for time, then he petitioned HIS KING, the One seated on high and was given both the dream and the dreams meaning.
God revealed something with human knowledge of nothing.
“Then Eli realized that the Lord was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
The Lord came and stood there, calling as at the other times, “Samuel! Samuel!”
Then Samuel said, “Speak, for your servant is listening.”
1 Samuel 3:10
Samuel was a sleeping boy birthed by Hannah, but living with the priest Eli as she had dedicated him to the Lord. As he slept he heard a voice on repeat calling his name. There was no one there so he assumed it was Eli calling him. After several times of Eli sending him back to bed the old priest realized it was the Lord Calling Samuel. So Samuel replied, here am I, and God raised up a man faithful to the king of Kings in service to king of Israel all because he listened to the Voice he could not see.
God can take silence and create something he can build on.
“The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.’ Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, ‘Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High...’” Luke 1:28-32
Mary was a young and virtuous girl. Barely a woman. But the Angel of the Lord was sent to her barren womb to inform her of a holy conception. She had been chosen for something greater than herself.
God can take what is barren and empty and make something out of nothing.
If God can create the Savior of the world in the empty womb of a virgin, them what can he do for you?
God is in the miracle working business. He can always take and create something magnificent out of nothing. He is always at work behind the scenes, tailoring every detail for your custom fit miracle. He has conceived something great in you. Express your faith as the gestation period may be a little uncomfortable. Just like pregnancy, something wonderful is coming! For on the other side of pain... On the other side of ill...On the other side of obstacles, God is creating something from your nothing. Though the enemy of your soul is breathing down your neck. His breath may kill, but he won’t be able to touch you. Because God still does miracles and his angels keep watch over you. So be still! Listen to the Voice! Use your voice to raise up His accolades and praise....And watch and see the triumphant victory Heaven will bring.
God is on the Throne and He still rolls stones! 3 days in a tomb locked behind stone, the Savior owned the keys to death, hell and the grave. It’s time for an overthrow of all things awful in your life. It’s time to rise! Grave clothes come off! You are a Radiant Bride!
And God will create for you, something out of nothing.
Many Blessings, Nicole
“And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Revelation 21:5
