“For we are the aroma of Christ…”
2 Cor. 2:15
A blessing for your day:
Lord bless you to be the fragrance of worship that would fall besotted and soften every heart, that would inspire the bend of every knee, to look longingly toward the King of kings. You are the flavor and aroma this world needs. So many things special about you…you are needed, valuable and loved. God hemmed your every attribute in place and saw your potential so big it placed a smile on His face. Go forward into your day
About five or six years ago my husband decided to go on a hike up in the Mother Lode of California to spend some time in reflection and prayer. Doesn’t that sound amazing?
We love to hike and though we don’t go as much as we used to-it’s always been something we enjoy together. On this hike, he was gone a very long time and I began to feel a little concerned. John has always been really good at checking in and he tends to call me a lot in general.
Even through the toughest storms God’s got you. If you are in a storm today, He is right there in the thick of it with you, guiding you, paving the way. I actually think most people find this of comfort. Even people who never speak of God or seem to have spiritual interest seem to cry out for him in their moments of desperation. Do you know what, He takes the cry! He is just like a Father who cares for and protects His children.
If you truly knew how much
Every human has a spirit that dwells in the soulish region of our body. The soul is the heart of who you are. Every person longs to fill it. Each man or woman, boy or girl, may fill it differently. God gives gifts to all mankind, whether it’s acknowledged or not.
You have a priestly anointing and a prophetic anointing. Most dwell in the priestly anointing. For example, you go to church, you read the Word, you pray and practice your faith. Priestly anointing. But then there is the prophetic anointing!
“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Psalm 23:5
Years ago, after a series of unfortunate and painful events in my life that occurred tragically and with exaggeration, I cried out to God. I had lost everything. My home, my possessions and now my purse had just been stolen. I said, “Why?” And then I heard Him reply with a bone stiffening reverence…
I sat straight.
Ever had God pierce your soul like that? I have, on a number
“The Lord on high is Mightier than the noise of many waters, than the mighty waves of the sea.” Psalm 93:4
I have a large family. I did not come from a large family so this has been a new experience for me. I grew up in a quiet home where everything was always in order, tidy, organized. I tend to be a quiet, soft spoken person. I’m not loud. But when you have five children, four of which are boys, it can get kind of crazy. I think we are
Yesterday, out of the blue, a name from my past erupted in my mind…
It was the name of a woman I knew many years ago. I didn’t know her well, but she was a customer of mine through my nutrition business. She lived here in my city and I’d visit her at her home a few times a month to deliver vitamins to her.
She was advanced in years and seasoned in life. She lived alone, though she had family, none in town. She was still working as a CNA nurse
I love the story of George Mueller. A minister who built huge orphanages and did many great things by Faith. He rarely had a resource, other than gratitude. As he thanked God for the need met, while still in need, then a miracle would happen. Imagine what America would look like if we all did this. We’d have abundance without ever becoming spoiled. Let not this season of gratefulness end with the last bite of pie. Thank God for the answer before it comes…as if you already held it in
You Won’t Go Under
Yesterday was yet another full and hectic day-but deep down I know wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a large family, clients who want training and a car that takes me wherever I want to go. I am indeed blessed. The afternoon was spent poolside at the school watching my son play in a water polo match. Those boys swim back and forth and track that yellow ball as they attempt to shoot and score. Sometimes they get pulled at to keep them from advancing
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass”
1 Thes. 5:24
Noah believed and held onto a promise of God for his life for many, many years. He endured insults, rejection and jeers-but that didn’t keep him from putting one foot in front of the other, hammer to the hull. Not only did everything the Lord told him happen, he saved his family from despair and he created a marvelous invention that had never been seen, required or desired before. Talk about a Visionary!
