To be physically fit you must exercise your body.
To be mentally strong you must stimulate your mind.
To be emotionally stable you must practice self discipline.
So it makes sense that to trust one must activate their faith.

America is such a great place to live. Grateful for that I am. We are so self sufficient. We go and come as we please and we have access to just about every convenience. We can work hard, plan and tackle just about every problem on demand. I suspect this is one of the greatest reasons why we Americans have a hard time really trusting God.

We don't have to.

We trust Him for small things and the things common to our existence, but if their is a big need, a big bill or high priced ticket item we just open a new line of credit. We bow to Master Card instead of our Lord and Master. When was the last time you had a really big need and went to God FIRST for provision instead a last resort prayer petition? We need God in America and we who believe need to be the reason others want it. If we don't show greater evidence that we have something special worth having then who would have Hope stirred? Let's activate our faith and dig deeper into stirring and rekindling our own belief in this Amazing and Incredible God we serve. Let's stop being so self sufficient and start leaning harder into the one who is All Sufficient. He will show up for you...it's a guarantee. He cancelled our debt once and for all on a tree of humility.

Please, my friends, do not allow heaviness to sink in from my words. I mean to encourage you to take actions steps into deeper faith. If I didn't believe you could I wouldn't suggest it. You are the Beloved and you are loved right here right now. I believe wants to stir deeper levels of that abiding love and faith in your journey. Let is spill over you heart and soul then outward on a country that is deeply hurting.
