Joy

This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.

Psalm 118:24

“Most people who live in gratitude are typically joyful.”

Maybe 3 weeks back a man at the gym Was watching me. He then approached me and told me I was the only person he’d ever seen who seemed happy and smiley all the time. He looked a little perplexed and refreshed by this. Now, the gym I train my clients from I have been a member or affiliated with since 2005 and this man had been there maybe just as long—so he is someone who has observed me for a great number of years, there were several years I didn’t train or go to this gym, but he has more than a decade worth of evidence to support his claim— not just a day or two.

I don’t think it’s true I smile all the time, but I am joyful and I know that my joy comes from something down deep. My joy is found with every new day in the Lord. I wake up almost every morning and quietly, but out loud make a declaration, “This is the day the Lord has made and so I will rejoice and be glad in it.” God has been faithful. Even when life is hard—and I have had more than my far share of hard—I still have my Joy.

You have the ability to harness joy. We are living in strange and unusual times, but joy can be found even in its midst.

Gratitude.

Joy is something you carry down deep, yet can be seen by others. We can say we have Joy, but the proof is always in the posture of our heart.‬ Whether or not you have joy can be seen by others despite what we may say. Joy can’t be lied about. You either have it or you don’t.

‪Without gratitude there is no Joy.‬
With gratitude Joy is always present.

What if you were needed right here, right now, for this time and space?
You’ve got extraordinary written all over you.
Everywhere you go, everything you say and do—
Heaven is posturing you for something Divine.

Unwind in the Goodness.
Be encouraged.
Tap into Joy.
Give thanks.
Bountiful goodness is always at the tip of the heart waiting to get inside.

Who you are on the inside by far surpasses any fading beauty or success of the outside. Pride of life won’t carry anybody far. But joy always gets dressed up and ready to go the extra mile.

Choose Joy! Let every opportunity for joy be highlighted within your day. . . Be decided.
