Earmarked for Glory
“For the Lord does not see as a man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7
Many years ago I was a part of a group of ladies at my church that met weekly for prayer. We would pray specifically for our church, it’s needs, it’s people, it’s pastors/staff and for the protection of all the above stated. For a brief season, maybe a year or a little less, there was a woman who joined the church and began coming

It's Possible…
Life is full of possibilities…
Imagine yourself an architect who had a dream to build an extraordinary building…a structure so unique and so grand it would make Frank Lloyd Wright look as though he lacked ingenuity and creativity. What if you were given everything you needed to fulfill such a dream? You had the idea, the education and experience, the finance and tangible resources? Would you pursue it? Would you believe that you could do it? Your Father raised you up right, cared for you, poured every imaginable resource into you…he

Persist Without Exception
“…being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.” Colossians 1: 11-12
I am one who is called to encourage, to exhort, to lift the soul and refresh the spirit like a cool drink of water on a dry and dusty day. This day, it is heavy upon my heart that you need encouragement. If that’s you,

Heroes
I live in a “guy” household. My one daughter is nearly grown and rarely home anymore, so gone are the days of fairy tale princess’ and dress up with dolls and Barbie. I kind of miss those days. Now, it’s all super heroes, dirt, mud, loud and lots of discussions about bodily functions. Boys. I adore them and wouldn’t have it any other way. Yeah, they make a huge mess and are full of energy, but I adore it all.
I want my boys to grow up to be men. Not

Seven Mindsets of a Champion
It’s a fantastic Monday! A great day to focus in on what matter in life and taking the action steps necessary to possess the mindset of a Champion! What are some attributes of a Champion?
The Mindset of a Champion:
1. Champions have goals.
A Champion sets clear and definable goals, puts them to paper with dates and breaks them down into smaller goals always leading to the ultimate goal.
2. Champions know where they are going.
A Champion has a purpose. You were placed on this earth with a purpose that reside in the

Zero Gravity
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Matthew 11:28-30
I am writing this quick draft from my phone. I’ve never done that before, we will see how it goes. I thank you in advance for I know you will be gracious for any typos or grammatical or

Go The Extra Mile…
I was told a story of a woman who took up running. She was a beginner, had done some running before, but lacked consistency. This time, she wanted to be committed to it so she asked a friend of hers who liked to run to be her running partner. It is true, that any fitness program and goal has greater depth of potential for accomplishment when done in pairs or groups. We all need each other to encourage us, hold us accountable to our dream/goal, and push us toward it!

Family
Just yesterday a friend and I were discussing her need for a pair of shoes for an event she has this weekend and her shopping excursion around town was a bust. As I listened, which is easy for me to do especially on the subject of shoes! She told me all the places she’d looked and what she was hoping to find, but didn’t. I reminded her of a local shop in a cute little shopping center in town. This little center of stores are small business owners, not department

Soaring…Even With Your Wings Clipped
Birds are beautiful, aren’t they? They come in so many varieties, shapes, sizes and colors. I love the sound of birds singing in my yard. I am blessed to have a variety of them as well. I especially adore watching the humming birds and listening to the dove’s coo.
When I was in the sixth grade I found two exotic birds, or maybe they found me. The first I found was a parakeet, green and yellow markings. I was outside playing Frisbee with a neighbor after school one evening and this

Holy Vaccination Supplementation!
Have you ever had a cold? I mean a really bad one? I had a cold in the month of December. It was such a bad cold I couldn’t decide if it was just a cold or the flu. I realized it was just a cold, but it kept hanging on and on. I couldn’t shake it. In fact, I’d nurture myself and get over it to only relapse with it three times. I wasn’t myself the entire month of December. Merry Christmas, right? I found myself feeling a bit
