Revolve
When my youngest was in the preschool years—most mornings I would drop the family at school and then my youngest would stays with me and we go to the track and run some sprints before my morning clients. This story is about such a day about two years ago.
We began our morning with him coaching me along as I ran. He’d usually call something out like, “Is that as fast as you can go?” What can I say, the kids got wit. Later in the day, around noon, the two

Seeds
Delays are not denials in the Kingdom of God. Rest. God does the work and you will be blessed. He has seen every seed sown. Every opportunity to bless and offer hope to others has been known to God. He sees it all. He may seem quiet, but He resides behind the scenes faithful and loyal just as you have been to Him.
These are words the Lord penetrates my pen with this morning. Living at rest is a beautiful balance. When you know you are in the Lord’s will for

Blind Spot
Everyone has a blind spot. When driving it’s that little sliver of space on the rear end of your car you have difficulty seeing in the mirrors and must turn your head and even then sometimes vehicles can be there undetected.
A few days back I was driving my son into town and I had to sit a bit on our quiet country road. It’s grape harvest time so the road can get filled with tractors and trucks and slow moving vehicles making their way from one field to another. I

Organized?
Do you compartmentalize?
I was thinking about that question this morning. It’s awesome to be organized. I love things organized. I love every detail in place and knowing what is expected of my day, my week, etc. I love those cute plastic containers in my pantry. One for rice. One for cereal, coffee, too. I don’t leave much in its original packaging. The containers look so much better. I label them, of course. My life became less organized with my growing family—out of necessity. It is difficult to manage many lives

Fortune Cookies from Heaven?
Are there fortune cookies in Heaven?
The Kingdom of God can be like a fortune cookie. What? Stick with me a moment…
God has imbedded into the depths of each one of our being a soul. Within our soul dwells His Spirit. Well—that’s His favorite place to reside anyway.
His greatest interest isn’t your bank balance. It isn’t your job title, accomplishments or status.
No…His greatest interest is you.
See—He sees it all. The good and the not so good in each one of us. He doesn’t make a big fuss. He knows you are

Charmed or Favored?
As the body thirsts for water, so my soul will thirst for you…
Since I was a youth people, friends, say things to me such as, “you have a charmed life” or “everything always works out for you”. I guess I never spent much time thinking about it until these statements became a regular pattern in my young adult life. My life is not “charmed”. But what I do have is “Favor”. The unmerited favor of God. We are all spiritual beings, thirsting for more than what we have. I know

Be…
Since opening this blog I’ve primarily written about God and how my life’s experiences have all lead me to Him, in ever increasing measure. I’ve shared the thoughts He has leaned into my pen.
I was a reluctant blogger to begin. I’ve been a writer for years and years, but many of those years I enjoyed my pen and my heart mingled with my Lord in the quiet of my alone time. Just my heart, my thoughts, my prayers scribbled on the page. I loved it and I most assuredly would

Complete: Together We Are Stronger
One of the things I love about my natural bodybuilding shows, the organizations with which I have selected to associate, is their commitment to integrity, class and camaraderie. Figure competitions– to me–are an opportunity to test my grit and personal commitment to self discipline and self control. How hard can I push myself? How strong am I? My physical being is the canvas I sculpture. It’s something I enjoy and in this community the gals I step on stage with compliment this by putting themselves to the same challenge.
We don’t

My AdvoCare…
I was 26 years old, married, no kids, when I met AdvoCare. I knew I was planning to start a family soon and at the time was working two part time jobs. I knew I wanted to stay home with my baby once I had one. My husband worked in Division 1 College Athletics and was rarely home due to the demands of his career. I had been praying for financial provision so I could walk away immediately from one job and then later the second. Here comes AdvoCare. I

Delighted by Design
When I was a young girl I truly enjoyed drawing. I could spend hours with pencils and pens creating on my sketch pad. By the eighth grade I thought I’d like to be a Graphic Designer. In High School my Mom and I would joke about me getting a job working for Hallmark one day.
I never became a Designer in that sense, but even at a young age the presence of God’s direction on my life was evident. He was there guiding my interests. I think if I worked for
