The Spirit of God is such a Gentlemen. He is available to all who would receive Him. He gives brightness to the eyes, Joy to the heart, wisdom to the soul and Peace forevermore. He is fully available to those who love Him and believe in Him. But here is where He is unique, He is fully available to those who don’t love Him or Believe in Him as well. He waits patiently, like a Gentlemen, for the invitation to come in and save a soul.

God will never assign you merely to lead a pampered life. He may lavish blessing on you. He may even pad your bank account. He can protect your health and place you in a family. He will do it because He loves you, but there is a catch.

As parents we must invest tremendously into our child as an infant. They are completely dependent on us. As they grow, so does their ability to move and do for themselves. By the time they are teens we have hopefully done our part to lay a firm foundation of character, integrity and stability that will serve them their whole life. Teen years and beyond our role in their life begins to change. We become more of a Coach and Champion of Counsel, if you will.

God was Faithful to divide the Red Sea for Moses to make his escape safely. God was Faithful to roll away the cap stone and become the Corner Stone for all of humanity. He was Faithful to touch the night sky and make it bright with sparkling light. He told the sun where to hang in space and commanded the tides, “Don’t go beyond this place.”

What does it mean to have a near miss? Let’s quickly look at the definition;

The Bible says that the devil is out to steal, kill and destroy. But God always prevails. He has a strong hand and a bow and his arrows are sharp and ready to fight back when you are under attack. So whenever you have a “close call”, you can know that God’s got your back. Literally! Listen closely and hear him say,

“It was a near miss, but don’t

“He makes his messengers winds, his ministers a flaming fire.” Psalm 104:4

You can never observe the supernatural with natural eyes and understand what you see.

It won’t look right.

it won’t look right because we’ve not seen it before. It won’t fit into any category of our mind’s frame, our common sense or main stream opinion. It will have a flavor uniquely all its own. It will set ablaze every heart in its path…

Ablaze with true grace, liberty and freedom of soul.

What are you watering your soul with?

No matter who you are- your culture, your income, your status, your experience…we all have a soul and it thirsts. What do you serve it? Soul thirst is similar to physical thirst, but it cannot be quenched with water. It must receive Living Water in order to breathe. Many fill their lives with endless pursuits, but in the end, they still thirst something they cannot see. Living Water will never leave you empty. Drink it. Become saturated with it and then leak it…leak it
