Face Time My Heart

I think technology is great.

I grew up with the phone tethered to the wall. As a teen my Mom bought me a longer than long chord for the phone that would stretch all the way from the kitchen to my bedroom. It was a big day when I finally received as a gift my own phone for my room.

Computers, internet, cell phones, social media, etc. It creates a fast way to connect, learn, communicate. Really fast!

However, I am still a very old fashion girl. I prefer face to face communication. Active listening skills require feedback, observation of non verbal communication and listening. And there's something special about just being together with others. It fosters a community like nothing else.

That's how it is with God also.

We can see glimpses of him in music, the sunset, the glorious moonlight and stars showing off their magnificent light...

But it's when we pour ourselves into Him, I mean more than a casual glance to stare just like we sometimes do with our phones. He doesn't want us to skim...He wants us to press in and really try to get face to face with him with devoted time and attention--that is when He shows us his face, his heart and blesses us with his Presence.

You are loved.

You are valuable.

You are set apart to do great things.

He is with you and he is calling you by name.

Do not be afraid to reach back to him the same.

I think it is time for some FaceTime with Heaven.
