Have you ever been through something hard?

Of course you have, we all have. The only thing that differs is the experience of the hard (actual trial),  the length of it, the shape of it and ultimately how we handle it.

Not everyone handles their hard well.

None of us feel we handle difficulties well, except maybe someone delusional. God looks at us all through a different lens. He knows the payoff our hard can bring if we cling to His Tree of Long Suffering.

Everything we go through in life has the power to shape our life right if we see it, read it, recognize it. The world may feel like shifting sand—but we remain rock solid because we have a right foundation.

I spent some time reflecting this morning about some things I’ve been through. I see over the span of the last 25 years of my life the intense refiners fires I have walked through. I’m not sure why God allowed such vast and varied plights upon my life, but I know by it He drew out the gold and rock solid strength I myself didn’t know I had. I grew. Not only did I grow, God used the eyes of onlookers watching and following me to grow too. For whatever reason God uses us all to be an example, and my life was to be an extreme example of Joy in mourning and Peace in the storm. I hope my choices have worshipped my Father well.

I see some light at the end of one tunnel. God is speaking to my soul and preparing me for what’s around the corner. So I weep. I see how this amazing tapestry of my life has taken shape, color and offered me a vibrant life rich with experience and purpose. I know the best of my days lie ahead. I am only at the starting gate of this great race of my life’s purpose. I am excited despite how bitter sweet so many experiences have been. God alone has the power to make a person, a situation, a relationship complete. He alone holds the keys to everything. He alone will be Chief of the Exalted in my life.

Something extraordinary happens when you go through something difficult with another without quitting. It creates an immeasurable bond of unity that require no words. The connection is felt and it is thick as a steel chord anchored in Truth. The Lord is ever full of devotion to you. He has walked with you through it all. He’s watched you grow and He has watched you struggle and He has helped you stand tall. He brings everything full circle and seals it with a kiss of unique creativity that only a mind as vast as His could do.

Pay attention to every detail that has made up the person you have become. It all has merit. It all has strength. It all has a vigor and tenacity unique to you. I pray as you go you have keener eyes to see, heart to feel and spirit to know beyond anything that He is your Lord and in Him you can be fully satisfied no matter your circumstances in life.
