I woke up this morning feeling heavy hearted the same as I did when I fell to sleep last night. God, where are you? Maybe that’s something you’re asking yourself right now. I know I am. But here, down beneath my hurt and heart ache, I know something on a deeper level and I have personal experience with its truth—
God is there, right beside you.

He’s always been there.
He is faithful.
He is protector.
He is confidant.
He is friend.
He loves the color of your skin, whatever shade it is.
He loves you no matter how much or how little money or assets you have.
He loves you when you ignore Him and don’t include Him in your life and He loves you when you come running to Him because your scared and tired.
He is Constant.

Unfortunately, we are not.

In the Bible the Israelites retold the miracle stories of God to their young. This passed faith and hope along to each generation. Though we must think on these events occurring in our world, we must think on them, pray on them and fix them. We also must do as our Father instructs us to...

“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.“ Philippians 4:8

I have been homeless, TWICE, and God got me through it and out of it.
I have lost EVERYTHING, TWICE!!! But God was with me and is getting me through it.
I have been scorned and shunned multiple times by “good” people. (I put good in italics not because I’m being sarcastic, but because no one is good, not one of us!)
God vindicated me and protected me without me having to say or do a thing. I did what Jesus had to do, I just took it. Why did I go through all of these things? I believe if for no other reason than I would grow deep in the Lord and gain understanding of His ways, strength came to my frame in a way I wouldn’t have had otherwise and now I can encourage and keep my Joy to hold up those who don’t have either of those things right now.

I look at America and I see a land full of hurting people. Not just a little hurt, decades worth of hurt, generational hurt—layer upon layer of it. Just like layers of dark paint on a wall, it doesn’t lift off easily. It must be steamed and softened and peeled away carefully. The hearts of humanity are the same way.

God is waiting and ready for us to invite Him in and stay. He is a beacon of Hope and Light and He is multicultural, respecter of no form of privilege other than the promises He gives to each one of His children.

We need God in America again. He is woven into the fabric of our roots and the reason we ever became great as a nation to begin with. He is the Source of all things. All hope originated with Him. He can heal our Land. He can stoop down and He is willing.

I promise you, God is a gentleman and won’t force us to do anything. If we bend our knee and bow our hearts He will heal our land. If only for the sake of one man named, Noah, God built an Ark. If only for one man named, Abraham, God sent angels to rescue Lot before destroying Sodom and Gomorrah. Just look at the lengths He went to to protect His own son from the Government.

“ If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.“
2 Chronicles 7:14

Recap your victories! Praise God for what He has done for you. He has been good to you! Direct your heart to what is right in your life, like how about your alive to begin with! You’re life has worth, merit, value and meaning! You have purpose and you can do this! You can get through this! God will make America great again, but she will be greater still because God will be in it with us again like the faithful friend who sticks by your side through thick and thin.

Lord, forgive us for forgetting about you in our good times or maybe keeping credit for ourselves we were supposed to give to you. Thank you for your love and unmerited favor and grace. Reach forth your arm. Help our Land. Heal it’s people. Unify our hearts with your love. Restore our Hope. Invade the darkness and shine loves pure light. Dispel the night.

“If you take away the yoke from your midst,
The pointing of the finger, and speaking wickedness,
If you extend your soul to the hungry
And satisfy the afflicted soul,
Then your light shall dawn in the darkness,
And your darkness shall be as the noonday.
The Lord will guide you continually,
And satisfy your soul in drought,
And strengthen your bones;
You shall be like a watered garden,
And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.“ Isaiah 58:9-11
