Clues

It’s the start to a brand new year and no doubt you’ve thought about what you might like to try and accomplish with it. Make your list, but don’t forget to allow the Lord to sift through it and move you in His timing and direction. He’s got some ambitious plans for you, too, and it will require focused attention to details when the demands of life and others begin to pull on you.

You can’t be everything to everyone, but you can be something to someone.

It only takes one to make a real difference.

By Faith...

I have lived most of my adult life by faith. Once you step out into its waters you cannot go back. There are so many reasons why you can’t go back. It is first of all a Biblical principle—

“But my righteous one shall live by faith, and if he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38

and a practical one. Once you grow in this arena it’s like giving up a blessing that has been found to shrink back. So you must be decided.  Faith is like a muscle, hard earned progress that will atrophy without use.

Though God has a way of leaving me wide eyed and mystified—living by faith has not been easy. But I will say, the levels of Peace that surround a Faith Lived life is extraordinary and constant. And the stories, God sure does create some amazing stories!

By faith we sold our home well below market value to a couple who wouldn’t have otherwise been able to buy their first home.

By Faith we didn’t put the house on the market—we believed the buyers would come knock on our front door asking to buy (we didn’t know who specifically just a promise of the Lord that they would come). And they did. 3.5 years after receiving the Word of the Lord to my soul.

By faith God promised me a new home and He began to drop me clues. I’d dream it and He would bring revelation regarding details of it via the Holy Spirit Word of Knowlege. I knew by these clues with so much detail that I knew if  I actually saw the house I would know it. And that’s what happened.

By faith we didn’t call the real estate company on the for sale sign as instructed by the Holy Spirit. We believed in faith God would connect us directly to the owner even though we had no clue who owned it. The house had been vacant for years. But God had clues and we didn’t have to do a thing, the Lord dumped the man right in our lap! We’d been driving by the home declaring God’s promise over the property and when we made a second lap a gardener emerged on the road and said he noticed us looking at the house. He offered us a tour and gave us unsolicited information about the owner and why he was selling. Then he pulled out the owners personal business card and mobile number and gave it to us.

By faith we believed and within a few weeks we already had keys to the front door. We knew before all of this God was promising to give us keys by Labor Day. We received the keys on August 28. Only God can do that.

By faith we drove across country without a dime in our pocket (not any credit cards) and arrived home with a few hundred dollars to spare. We never asked one person for money. I have never seen the righteous forsaken nor their seed begging for bread ( Psalm 37:25) was the scripture the Lord gave me when he asked me to chose to drive cashless instead of using the plane ticket I already had in my hands. That particular story I remind myself of frequently when God asks us to do absurd things with our money to build the kingdom and he always stretches our dollar amount—by Faith. This particular story, God uses it to explode my faith in His power to provide, but also I have countless stories of Divine Appointments along the way. Supernatural and permanent connections to other believers were made across the country on that trip. Seeds deposited for th future.

What if the Church grew to such a level of faith we not only easily have our 10th, but we lived on the 10th and gave 90? Because when God calls you to that level of sacrificial giving you know the surplus is ample. It’s like a financial and resource well that works the best when it’s pumped—the overflow just continues to grow.

By faith.

By faith.

By faith.

I have countless more stories of leaps of faith and sometimes they don’t look so heroic, but more like crawls or puddle jumps. But that matters not. What matters is that when you exercise your faith and pay attention to the clues and signs around you, you won’t miss the highlighted things God is trying to shine in your life. You’ll pick up on His clues, and you will move.

So what kind of Faith is it going to take for you to move your mountain? What steps of faith will be required of you to fulfill all God has for you in 2019? Move through the fire into the Flood. He’s got clues for you. Give him a clue that you are ready to move, live and receive all He has for you,

By Faith.

Rise up!

Goodness and Mercy have come and they carry good gifts, but you must receive them...

By Faith.
