Faith & Fitness Olympics
My husband trains athletes. He is a Strength Coach and he is very good at what he does. He has travelled all over the world with world class athletes, sculpting their potential giving them an edge to compete.Because of my husband’s profession I have been exposed to great athletes. I’ve watched how they train. They shine. They make everything look effortless and easy. Though they have God given talent and ability not one of these Olympians woke up a Champion. They each walked through the refiner’s fire of desire, discipline,

The Underminer
Learn how to undermine the Underminer.
The Enemy of your soul is a Master of Distraction. He will use subtle little seemingly innocent circumstances to redirect your focus when you are plugged in to something Greater.
I see this a lot when people are on a fitness quest. The Enemy sees them become consistent and resolved. He see they want it and are getting after it…real commitment or even the desire to begin with it. He is subtle, he will use outside factors to derail your goals and

Gateway To Goodness
Have you ever browsed a brochure that takes your through verbal illustrations complete with dramatic and exotic photos that fill your mind with expectations for the vacation that will fill the void and block out life’s noise?
Have you ever heard Disney’s slogan, “The Happiest Place on Earth”.
Americans are fascinated with pleasure. The idea of rest and ease seems to be what we think we need to manage and cope the stress of life. We plan and save and take distant vacations only to discover the price tag didn’t meet the

I Believe In You
There are so many reasons why a writer writes and where and how they begin their journey with the pen. In the day of getting paid to blog not everyone has a passion for writing as much as a passion for a paycheck. I think it’s lovely the many options of expression and creating an income base—but I pray that how ever creative writing is used, it never loses the passion and purpose and the plow it creates to till the soil of the heart and make another

Moon Gazer
At the end of the day when the sun decides to go away and cradle itself on the horizon…
The moon arises and this is of no surprise, yet it takes the breath away.
God is like both the sun & the moon—He isn’t going anywhere.
He is committed to you through thick and thin. . . And wherever you go, He is there.
Good Night!

Sure and True
Usually around the first of the year motivation is high to make good, make change and better our lives. People make resolutions that usually fade by mid February.
Monday morning rolls around and maybe you’re a bit upset and regret some things you did, some things you said or maybe some things you ate over the weekend? The week is new and you’re determined to start fresh and new. By Wednesday, most have slipped back in lack in that area they were trying to attack.
“Why is it so hard?”,

Broken To Brave
When obedience requires suffering.
‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’ or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” Rev. 21:4
Sometimes we just don’t have room to cry—too beat down and can’t spare the energy. Other times we haven’t the room in our heart to produce any more tears. Have you been there? Then this post is for you.
I was woken in the night this past night by a disturbing dream. If you’ve followed along for any

Planted
God is a Charming Gardener. Watch him cluster out the weeds and tangle the soil with seed.
You have a delightful inheritance.
Yesterday afternoon I was sitting outside a bit with a few of my family members. The sun was warm, the breeze gentle and the rays gleamed something refreshing as they peeked at us through the green of the leaf on the trees. The atmosphere gave sway in the background and listened in on what we had to say.
My daughter was sharing with me about some house plants she had purchased

Do You See What I See?
Daniel was a man who never compromised his heart in the presence of tangible delicacies.
Prominence, wealth, influence, status…privilege. These are the things that can tempt and corrupt, even spoil the perfectly good soil of mans heart. But Daniel denied it all.
Daniel had a gift to See. He was what the Bible calls a Seer. He had encounters. Not only with God, but with Angels. He literally talked to angels who came representing the Lord (the Bible is very clear he conversed with an angel named Michael). Wow. That’s enough to

Be~Loved
“Kindness is just love with its work-boots on.” ~unknown
Life’s greatest blessings are usually comprised of a collection of moments…not one grand detail, but thousands of tiny details all tangled together. Like droplets in the Sea, intertwined so delicately it is difficult to separate one drop from another.
Life is a gift, extraordinary, isn’t it? Life is full of pain…passion…and promise. I believe this is where the true beauty is, the creation of something so emotionally provocative it creates the beautiful atmosphere to which our heart can become fully undone in
