I recently ran into an old friend who I hadn’t seen in quite some time. We caught up on life and then she began to share about her passion for working with children. She shared how a woman told her how hard her job looked and tedious as well. But my friend wisely explained to the woman why it brought her no feelings of tediousness at all…because it was her passion, her gifting and calling of God to work with kids.

Several years ago I was sitting with a person who had spoken faith in my life on numerous occasions. I sat and listened as they explained to me the difference between them and me. They told me that all they wanted from their walk with God was eternity. They had no desire greater than getting into heaven. I sat there dumbfounded. I couldn’t relate to them at all. I tried not to have any judgement in my heart, for they were sharing their honest heart after all. But my God

To be physically fit you must exercise your body.
To be mentally strong you must stimulate your mind.
To be emotionally stable you must practice self discipline.
So it makes sense that to trust one must activate their faith.

America is such a great place to live. Grateful for that I am. We are so self sufficient. We go and come as we please and we have access to just about every convenience. We can work hard, plan and tackle just about every problem on demand. I suspect this is one of the greatest

Imagine for a moment in your minds eye…two little girls giggling together and scampering about. Laughing and enjoying the friendship of each other. One little girl leans in to her friend, cups her hand, and whispers a secret into her friends ear.

Once we’ve grown we don’t generally “whisper secrets” in our friends ears any longer, but we can have a friendship with God like non other. And with this friendship comes an intimacy of heart that is full of good advice. He is the voice of a faithful friend

Gods love is not fickle. Nothing you do could make him grimace or shrink back. He is Constant. His Mercy and affections fail not. In fact, He is completely fixated upon you. Have you ever really thought of God’s affection toward you? Can God be smitten? Of course He can. His love for us is captivating-heart and soul. It is us who struggle to understand pure loves significance. His love is never conditional or works driven.

“King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth. The whole world sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.” 1 Kings 10:23-24

Notice in this passage that the people came to hear his wisdom, not to see his riches. Any man can develop wealth, but a wise man develops wealth in all areas of life…be it finance, relationships, resources, etc. A wise person can adequately asses situations, discern motives and make good choices. I tend to like to eat the same foods. Variety is good, but I don’t have any trouble sticking with a few favorites. For breakfast I almost always have 1/3c cooked whole oats mixed with either cinnamon or chocolate protein powder. Then, I commonly cook 4 eggs to mix in the oats. Because I track my macronutrients and keep a tight reign on my nutrition-I only eat one yolk and I give the others to my dog.
