No Quit Mindset
In our house we have been brain washed, if you will, to believe there are two teams in baseball; the Red Sox or anyone opposing the Yankees. That is what happens when you marry a New Englander. This belief stuck pretty hard in my daughter who is a die hard baseball fan. Last year she was blessed to see the Sox play the Yankees at Fenway. A dream come true for her.
What are your dreams? Most dreams come to pass with God’s hand and some detours, pit stops and roadblocks

Being Least Can Be Great
“…For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.” 1 Sam. 16:7
God doesn’t think like we do. God doesn’t chose like we chose.
The Bible says to do unto the least of these…because our least is God’s Great.
My husband has been coaching athletes for over 30 years at all levels. One particular athlete who is now retired is an example of God’s Great. First off, she competed in a sport she is not built for. Most women she would

Pristine Kind of Clean
“She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord’s feet listening to what he said.” Luke 10:39
Our first home was cute. It had a sunken living room and this really pretty cream colored carpet throughout. I loved it. Over time we began having children and we had a large dog who loved to lounge in the house. A large black dog (Rottweiler). As you can imagine the luster of that carpet began to dull. Kids can be pretty hard on things, especially little ones. John had purchased for

Bold
“The members of the council were amazed when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, for they could see that they were ordinary men with no special training in the Scriptures. They also recognized them as men who had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13
Every Believer has a ministry tucked within the chambers of their heart. It’s been planted there by a Sovereign God who had a special design on your life when He created your life.
My entire childhood and young adult life I was pretty quiet, subdued and introverted.

Gold or Silver?
God’s Timing
When God has a blessing for you it is important to wait for the full blessing in its full measure.
Waiting is hard. Patience is a golden virtue. Many years ago we sold our home during the peek of the market. We sold it to a couple we knew for far less than what the current market value called for. We did this because we knew for some time, 3 years, it’s what God wanted us to do. But we didn’t know right away who we would sell to or

Smart Cookie Committee
Its hard to be a smart cookie when you have a “crummy” attitude.
I love this because when my daughter was small my mother would always tell her, when she did something well/using her head, “you’re a smart cookie.” It’s kind of an inside joke with us. But isn’t it true? It doesn’t matter how gifted, talented, smart, funny or clever you are. If your attitude stinks everything you work so hard to hold together falls apart, just like a crumbly cookie.
Turn it around today, sing praises when you feel like

Mercy Seat & Baseball⚾️
What is the measure of value?
I recently went to a baseball game where the home plate umpire wasn’t all that consistent in how he called pitches. A throw that was outside and called “ball” one pitch may have been thrown two times in a row only to be called on the second throw a “strike”. Usually, a player can get the feel of the Umpire. They quickly learn what a perfect pitch looks like to him. They see how he values each throw and this helps them adjust and look

You're As Good As #1
“From everyone who has been given much, much will be required; and to whom they entrusted much, of him they will ask all the more.” Luke 12:48
My husband has been coaching young athletes at all levels since the 1980’s. He is very good at what he does. He is an extractor of the amazing in human potential. He can spot raw ability and all it’s potential and help a person develop into something even beyond what the individual knew was possible for themselves. He is a hard coach. He expects
