Have Confidence
I haven’t blogged in a while. I could feel the Lord gently tell me it was time to dust off my pen and write on my blog again. My heart is so full of words I could release, but this is what I feel takes precedent today.
Last Sunday, while walking into the church, the greeters said hello and heald open the door. They all have to wear masks because of state regulations regarding COVID. But the one man who heald the door spoke to us and welcomed us. I didn’t

5 Keys to Live Attractively
I am God’s microphone.
I will use my voice to spread His Love to the world.
My daughter found an excellent deal on a MacBook Pro laptop. It was someone she knew professionally who was selling a barely used computer for next to nothing. Because she knew the person is probably the only reason she knew it was legit and not a scam. She knew it was too good a deal to pass by, so she called John and my entire family (boys included) chipped in to buy me the MacBook

Worn, Torn and Worth a Million Bucks
I have this t-shirt. . .
I have a t-shirt-it’s really more like a muscle shirt, that is black and has flames across the chest. It says “girl gang“ next to the flames. It has rips, tears and holes all over it that were intentionally put there.
I had forgotten I had it and rediscovered it this week and I learned something—not much has changed when it comes to the response I receive for this shirt. I get a lot of compliments of people liking my shirt each time I wear

Protected. Worthy. Loved.
Protected. Worthy. Loved.
These are the words that penetrate my mind first thing this morning. What a blessing because these are all words of special significance to me.
Protected.
“But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you.“ Psalm 5:11
Most people want to feel safe, but I think women especially have a need for this kind of security. I know I do. When we think of protection I think most

Joy Is A Weapon
God’s Love. . .
There’s something so much more than a feeling, yet that is how it all begins. God taps into our emotions.
People have a mind… A heart…
A brain—And people have emotions. Our emotions are dynamic and eclectic and combine together to create a myriad of emotions on lots of levels of expression.
This thing with God…it starts off as something that sparks a feeling and then grabs hold of our attention. As we pay attention something gets highlighted in our heart. We become moved, inside to the out, by this

Mindset to Move Mountains. . .
“When it rains, most birds head for shelter; the Eagle is the only bird that, in order to avoid the rain, starts flying above the cloud.” ~Unknown
Some of the biggest and best accomplishments this world has ever seen have been done under extreme duress and adversity.
Airplanes rise against the wind not with it.
It is the wind against a sail that makes the boat go.
Don’t turn back when others speak skepticism and lack. Don’t confuse wise and Godly instruction for criticism and do not mistake criticism for wise instruction. If it’s

Safeguard My Heart
Don’t forget to replenish…
The formula for adequate hydration is to take your body weight in pounds and divide that number by 2 to determine the number of ounces of water you should consume at the minimum each day. But what are you doing to ensure you consume adequate spiritual hydration? Just like when we are outdoors in the heat, we need even more water—so it is for our soul as well.
With so much going on in our world right now, it seems a bit like we’ve stepped right into a

Preserved
Self preservation: by my definition is to shield or safe guard oneself from actual or perceived harm. Self preservation is innate. Or is it learned? Young children arrive as tender hearted, trusting, naive and innocent. Over time the cares of life opens the eyes and awakens the soul to the dangers we encounter on life’s open road. The more harm done to an individual the more coarse their heart and mind become. The more scars, the more distant and closed to people we become—we self preserve to ward off future potential

Joy
This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Psalm 118:24
“Most people who live in gratitude are typically joyful.”
Maybe 3 weeks back a man at the gym Was watching me. He then approached me and told me I was the only person he’d ever seen who seemed happy and smiley all the time. He looked a little perplexed and refreshed by this. Now, the gym I train my clients from I have been a member or affiliated with since 2005

Expected
“For everyone whom much is given, from him much will be required.”
Luke 12:48
This passage of scripture has been rolling around in my head for more than a week now.
Did you know that just like any good Father, God has expectations of us? It’s true. He expects from us because He loves us and knows not only what’s best for us, but the best that resides within us…each of us. Each of you. God sees you, the real you. The you that cuddles up and dreams of the future and weeps
