Secrets to Strength
“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.” Psalm 19:14
What words are dripping from your lips? Are you self sabotaging your own better self, your own better health, you own best fitness or career ambition? Is your family suffering by the words falling from your mouth?
Our words have so much power to prophesy what will be. What you believe can shape and direct the very coarse of your life. In my own health and fitness I

You Won't Go Under
You Won’t Go Under
Yesterday was yet another full and hectic day-but deep down I know wouldn’t have it any other way. I have a large family, clients who want training and a car that takes me wherever I want to go. I am indeed blessed. The afternoon was spent poolside at the school watching my son play in a water polo match. Those boys swim back and forth and track that yellow ball as they attempt to shoot and score. Sometimes they get pulled at to keep them from advancing

Divine Design
Most mornings I drop the family at school and then my youngest stays with me and we go to the track and run some sprints before my morning clients. The same was true yesterday. Later in the day, around noon, we returned to my husband’s office which is adjacent to the track I’ve been using. My son looks toward the sky then replies, “The sun doesn’t look like that when we run sprints.” I smiled inwardly at the complexity of his observation in relation to his age. I proceeded to

Honesty
Noah Webster (1758-1843), a Connecticut born man, studied law at Yale and had a passion for teaching. Whenever Webster saw a need for something he sat down and wrote an essay about it. He poured out his heart through his pen. Mr. Webster wrote the “Blue Back Speller” and by it brought a standard of excellence and unity to the English language via vocabulary and pronunciation. Mr. Webster did something else that made him great that seems to have slipped off the plate in the United States of things worthy

Becoming Unskinkable… Unthinkable?
“Faithful is He who calls you, and He also will bring it to pass”
1 Thes. 5:24
Noah believed and held onto a promise of God for his life for many, many years. He endured insults, rejection and jeers-but that didn’t keep him from putting one foot in front of the other, hammer to the hull. Not only did everything the Lord told him happen, he saved his family from despair and he created a marvelous invention that had never been seen, required or desired before. Talk about a Visionary!

Candidate For Victory
Each day of your life is like a page in the story of your life. What will be written today?
I love to write. It is in me to do so since childhood. As I reflect back over my life I see how he directed me to my pen over and over again.
I love a good pen.
I adore the touch and feel, the luster of quality paper.
I have countless volumes of journals. I type on the keyboard, but it just isn’t the same. There’s something magnificent to me about the creative

Stellar Quality
People who enjoy canoeing are familiar with the Outrigger Canoe Club. I’m not sure how many there are, but I am aware of one in Newport Beach, Ca. and Honolulu, Hawaii. We’ve attended canoe events in Orange County and have enjoyed many meals at the club on the beach in the Aloha state. John and I are not members nor do we canoe, but we have friends who do.
If you have never been, the clubs are posh. Prestigious. Expensive. It is an exclusive environment. It’s made special. It is designed

Worth The Try
THEY said to not even try it -it would in fact kill you. This didn’t stop Roger Bannister from running the first ever sub-four minute mile. He broke the invisible veil. He pursued the impossible and made it probable that others could do it, too.
What is holding back you? YOU are built strong and to last the test upon you. Move forward, break the invisible barriers before you and gain valuable ground! ~Nicole

Power of One
Yesterday I was privileged to speak briefly to a team of girls soccer players about nutrition. These girls were all about 13 years of age. Captivating their attention and interaction wasn’t easy. I used questions and analogies to try to get them engaged and it worked to a degree. But for the most part they spent the entire talk not looking at me, but watching all the distractions about the field.
I even brough visual aids and samples of healthier options to try. I spoke of the importance of nutrition in

A Sure Path
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21
Have you ever gotten lost? Ever had plans fail or the unexpected happen? Of course you have, we all have. Especially if you have children!
Early in my walk with God, I mean when it truly became my faith and my relationship, I was in my twenties and I would lie in bed at night and just talk to Him. I would share my
