I Once Knew A Man Called Charlie. . .
I once knew a man named Charlie…
Seasons in life bring opportunities. Each opportunity is a window where God can expand our hope as he expands the foundation of our life creating something sound, something stable that we can build upon. Because we can dream all day long and become little more than a dreamer if we allow ourselves to stop there. Therefore, every encounter, every relationship, whether for a moment, a year, a decade a lifetime—has the power to shape and mold who we are destined to be.

Turn It Up
”Make up your mind,” Moab says.
“Render a decision.
Make your shadow like night—
at high noon.
Hide the fugitives,
do not betray the refugees.” Isaiah 16:3
When I was a young girl I had many fears, the dark being one of them. It was a common occurrence beginning at a young age for me to sleep with my head under the covers.
I tend to think that sensitive souls feel everything around them very deeply. At least I know I do. I can feel the spiritual dynamics in a room, I can feel others

Adored
You are adorable.
There is a God in Heaven and He actually adores you and is for you. He cheers for you, makes a way for you. Does all kinds of things that you may not even know He is doing for you. He is an eternal spirit. He wants to bless you and make your heart complete. For every tangible blessing of life is nice—but if our heart and soul have a hole we don’t feel whole or complete.
Take a seat. Be lavished. Allow my words

Wrought With Purpose
Lord,
I invite you into my Tabernacle of Hope.
I have been sifted deeply and completely;
But within it all you have never left my side.
You bore my stain that I might gain something intimate, something lovely,
something created for my goodness sake.
Then your Love walks in, radiant and bright. Your Love walks in and it has worn a path on my heart and stains the soil of my pen—
I will never be the same again.
You never leave me forlorn.
You’ve bore the scorn.
You took the sting of rejection and turned it into

Graced To Advance
“The soul’s craving for peace is its natural yearning for its End, it’s Maker, and it’s God. Since the soul is large enough to contain the infinite God, nothing less than Him can satisfy or contain it.”
Edward P Pusey
Do not be discouraged when you face trials of many kinds. This could be God’s instrument to captivate you. God wants to occupy every recess within. He knows your capacity. He knows what you are capable of. He knows what you can handle.
The heart is big, very big,

From Sigh to Song
When I fear sudden disaster—
I will raise a hallelujah.
When the world seems to be crashing in against me, I will remind myself that though a thousand may fall at my side and 10,000 at my right hand no harm will befall me. I am secure. (Psalm 91)
I will raise a hallelujah.
When it appears my enemy will trample me I am reminded I have been set apart for something greater and
I will raise a hallelujah.
When the sting of life leaves us

Intimacy With Greater Things
None of Jobs friends really understood what Job was going through. They had no personal experience the same as his. Though they cared about him, they failed to know how to properly care for him. So they had to idly sit by and watch him.
“Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the Lord will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.” Proverbs 3:25-26
Job had a story in the Bible like none other. Despite his long

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’” Mark 12:30
Worry is such an incredible waste of time, energy and anything of value that it will cost you. Because you will always have to make an exchange when you choose worry over faith. Worry will cause you to take detours on your journey not meant for you. Worry will derail purpose and potential in exchange for a one way ticket to nowhere. When

Going Through
Have you ever been through something hard?
Of course you have, we all have. The only thing that differs is the experience of the hard (actual trial), the length of it, the shape of it and ultimately how we handle it.
Not everyone handles their hard well.
None of us feel we handle difficulties well, except maybe someone delusional. God looks at us all through a different lens. He knows the payoff our hard can bring if we cling to His Tree of Long Suffering.
Everything we go through in life has

Discovered Tenacity
Sometimes the best thing that can happen to you in life is to fail at something.
Have you ever attempted something only to fair at it rather than excel? For the champions purposed toward excellence mediocre is the same as a failure. Or is it?
Failure is what sets apart the champion from the talker or complainer. Failure has a way of chipping away at our mold and revealing clusters of pure gold. Often times the greater the failure the larger the bounce back. That’s if
