Interrupted Life
I’m a trainer. Trainers love fitness. Trainers love weights, and movement, and all things physical fitness. I love my gym. I am what they would call a bit of a gym rat. The gym has been home for nearly as long as I can remember. I have been attracted to physical fitness, healthy eating and muscle since my very early adolescence.
I have goals. I have routine, just like everyone else pursuing fitness. Just like everyone else, this whole COVID-19 thing interrupted those goals. It interrupted my routine— Interrupted life.
If there

“When You Call—I’ll Be There”
“When you call on me—-I’ll be there…”
It’s like the whole world is on pause right now. America, paused. What a golden opportunity to search our own heart and soul and clean house so to speak. It’s a time to mend, a time to pray, and time to rest, a time to be, a time to heal, and a time to laugh dance and even sing. Because when you know that God has the whole world in His hands you don’t have to worry or be afraid. Many people are afraid to

Shape & Shift
“Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. 26 So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. 27 But I discipline my body and keep it under control,[a] lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.“
1 Corinthians 9:25-27
How we live today matters.
How we choose to respond matters. Adversity will shape you and shift you.
Adversity will sift you.
Will you be patient? Or will you cave to pettiness?

Just Run With It!
Just Run…
Have you ever seen a child who had a toy in their hand and just ran and ran and ran and played with that toy in their hand? The toy was apart of everything they did. Do you know what you’re seeing when you see this because it is so much more than a child with a toy. You’re seeing a person in love. You’re seeing a kid who adores their toy. It is an object of their affection.
When my youngest child was two years old he always had

DISCERNMENT
Wherever there is excessive rules or control, there is a spirit of witchcraft behind it. Does that mean a controlling person is practicing witchcraft? No, not outright anyway. What it means is there is a demonic principality present and influencing choices and decisions. There are rules taught by man and man made that seem good, and maybe they are good, but they are not necessarily “Biblical”, but maybe are more socially expected. But this does not mean it is from God! Sometimes man made and socially accepted rules

Belief Means Everything
Never let other people speak their doubts over your belief. If there is a dream in your heart it has been planted there for a reason. Sometimes we need our soul fitness to match our physical fitness.
People will tear you down, but God will always pick you up. He will grow you, but will always work with your positives.
You matter.
Your voice matters.
And your feelings matter.
Faith overrides feelings, but faith won’t discredit or patronize them.
Your life is a collection of moments and memories. Make the most of it!
Don’t forget! Keep the

Faithful
What can we do when it feels like the world has been stripped of you? How should we go? How do we proceed and prevail?
Be Faithful.
We proceed faithfully into our destiny.
Ships have anchors to hold them tight during the dread of night.
Be still.
Though the calm around you is absent, there can still be a calm within you. Hold onto him deliberately. You have got to be deliberate.
What do you do when it feels the Lord has taken from you about all he can take, only to find he is asking

Expensive & Impressive
I love to decorate. Anything. I like decorating a home. I like textiles and clothes to drape on the body. I love personal training and bodybuilding as I see the human form as a great canvas built to perform amazing things. How marvelous it is to sculpt and shape and strengthen it. And I also love to wrap gifts and create a gorgeous bow on top. Presentation does matter. First impressions count enormously. It takes countless second impressions to erase a poor first impression. However, we cannot and should not

Where Miracles Begin
I’ve been a writer all of my life. I just didn’t always know it. I wasn’t always aware of my gift there. Wasn’t aware it was a strength.
I’ve been a writer all of my life, but I haven’t always done so with a pen.
A writer is always writing. We do it with words, but sometimes those words are thoughts and memories and things etched within us that stay with us. The inspiration comes from a variety of sources. I have been known to find much inspiration in the

Connected
God is so enormously unique.
My entire life has been full of rules. And in the midst of all the rules and all of my compliance, God swooped in on my heart and showed me his love and that it is ultimately not about rules (though he does have some).
And by his love he ruled, schooled and won my heart.
He gave me a connection with him like none other. He is the line I am connected to.
My entire life I have gone—on and off—to church, but never truly felt I fit
