Connected
God is so enormously unique.
My entire life has been full of rules. And in the midst of all the rules and all of my compliance, God swooped in on my heart and showed me his love and that it is ultimately not about rules (though he does have some).
And by his love he ruled, schooled and won my heart.
He gave me a connection with him like none other. He is the line I am connected to.
My entire life I have gone—on and off—to church, but never truly felt I fit

Game of Life
Everything happens in seasons.
I remember there was a season of my life that I had three children playing in Morada Little League simultaneously. The most sensational little league ever in my opinion, but not two of them on the same team. Two boys and my daughter played softball. The home field was just around the block from our home. But softball travelled much so my daughter’s games were all over the place. I remember I would begin to mentally prepare for the schedule and time demand of the

A Forever that is Truly Forever
Ode To Joy
When I was married I selected the song “Ode to Joy”, by Ludwig van Beethoven, as my song. You know, the one they play when you walk into the room and up front and say all that scary stuff? I thought the melody to be lovely and free and light…just as joy should be. I didn’t consciously think all of this. I just knew I liked it and it was “different”. I usually don’t enjoy selecting what everybody commonly selects. I have always tended to gravitate to the

Giving Thanks🍁
🍁Thanksgiving Day🍁
As I was preparing in the kitchen yesterday I found my thoughts wander to this grand day of Harvest in history. I thought of the earliest of settlers-the inhabitants of the colony of Roanoke. These people came to America and tried to settle the very first community in 1587. But they disappeared mysteriously without a trace. History never trulwy discovered what became of them. Some say they went black to England some say they died. Let not their tremendous legacy die in vein. We the people have a duty to

The True Definition of Success
How do you measure success?
My question is not rhetorical, it is for you. It’s a question that has no wrong answer for the definition of success may differ from person to person. Outcomes, obstacles, opportunities…life is filled by them all. The question is, what do we do when we obstacles come at us? How do we handle them? What do we think or feel when we experience setback, lack, or abundant joys and pleasures? Is this success? Or maybe you are one that measure success in a different way? Maybe

You Are Not Invisible
I just read a fantastic article about how to find a teachable moment with your child in the midst of an awkward, uncomfortable or negative situation. Extremely commendable effort this piece. I deeply desire to share it as it is the inspiration for this blog piece. I’m having a little trouble with my plugins so I’m not sure the link with connect. I will include it so you can merely cut and paste in your search. Fantastic piece.
I spent a great percentage of my life with personal experiences of feeling

Notes From Joe
Nuggets of Pure Gold~~
Are you ready?
When you have 100% confidence in the outcome—
You are willing to walk beyond the come from.
Give it a personal touch.
Celebrate the victories along the way.
Focus on the future while you learn from the past.
Remember, there’s always more power when you’ve got skin in the game.
The best thing you can put in your body is encouragement.
Pure gold!
Found these bullet points in some notes I jotted down as my number one take-a-ways from a training zoom I was on a few

Strength & Joy
“Be humble but EXCITED! God is arranging things in your favor. Diligently working behind the scenes. Be excited for all the good coming your way. “Feel” it…..” Gina Gonzalez
A woman who has become dear and close to my heart (who I met through my direct sales business) wrote the above quoted and I couldn’t think it more lovely.
Be humble.
Be courageous.
Be extravagant with Hope. Inspire and Aspire.
You are going higher!
We are all on a journey together, but our paths vary. The view is different, the

By Faith
A year ago in late spring the Lord told me He wanted me to go to Israel with a trip my pastor was planning. The deposit was due by August 2018. Because my husband would be going also the deposit would of course be double. $1,000 by August that I didn’t have. But that’s not stopped God before. I remember the Lord telling me that it didn’t matter what my bank account looked like, pay the deposit no matter what, even if it left me with pennies in my account.
